Unity Aussie Tour A Roaring Success

Carl Callewaert, Lead Evangelist for Unity Technologies, recently made the trek from Canada to tour Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. As an exclusive part of the new Storm FX and Unity Technologies partnership, the tour caused much excitement amongst games developers, defence simulation artists, Educators and programmers in Australia, who know Unity for their development platform for games and interactive 3D on the web, iOS, Android, PC/MAC platforms and consoles.

Well regarded for his experience in motion capture, 3d animation and games development around the world, Carl has left Australian audiences highly impressed, demonstrating the flexibility Unity brings to developers creating games and game like experiences by building a first person shooter game in a matter of minutes as well as the ease of integration and real-time interoperability with Autodesk and Adobe suite of products.

The demand for the Storm FX & Unity tour rides off the back of Unity's recent successes. Surpassing 500,000 users in just 6 months and 60 million browser plugin installs, Unity powers web games for global brands like Bigpoint's Battlestar Galactica Online, Cartoon Network, Cheerios, Coca-Cola, Disney, Electronic Arts' Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online, Gazillion's Marvel Super Hero Squad, Gorillaz, LEGO, Marvel's Iron Man, Nickelodeon and Pepsi. Unity is also the most widely-used middleware in games for the Apple iOS App Store with over 1500 games built on the Unity platform.
